 thank you for your patience!

Emma Jayne Park aspires to be involved in the production of original and inspiring work that challenges both audiences and practitioners. She is eager to develop new methods of evolving both the dance and performance sector to further support artists, engage audiences and develop artistic learning.

Emma has grown as a contemporary dancer, choreography and facilitator since 2007.  Over the past two years she has expanded her skills through training in Hip Hop styles (primarily Bboying, Waacking and Vogue), which she uses to compliment her contemporary dance practice.

Presently, Emma is researching methods of collaboration that can unite all elements of her practice.  Methods include challenging the creation and definition of hip hop theatre, fuelling teaching work with her current artistic questions and finding collaborative partners more concerned with answering creative questions than rigidly bracketing their creative practice.

STATUS ANXIETY....

Picture

Following a week of R&D at Breakin' Conventions Open Art Surgery in November 2012 Status Anxiety has since been selected by Imaginate to be shared as work in progress at their 2013 festival and has been programmed as part of Dance Base's Fringe Festival Programme.

The work reflects upon the changes in relationships as a result of social media using hip hop theatre, visuals and comedy.

Status Anxiety is suitable for ages 14+ and will hopefully be toured from Autumn 2013.

Keep up to date with the works progress on Twitter @anxietystatus.
